The chat
If you use the chat on this site, we keep what you tell it: your name, email address and phone number if you give them, what you’re looking for, any budget you mention, and the conversation itself. We store this in our own inventory records so we can answer you and follow up.
The chat’s replies are written by an AI model (Claude, from Anthropic), which receives the conversation in order to answer it. We use the conversation only to help you.
Each visit starts a new conversation. Your browser keeps a random ID for it in local storage so the chat can follow the thread. Nothing links it to you unless you share your details.
Analytics
We use PostHog to see how the site is used: which pages are visited, what is clicked, the kind of browser and device, and a rough location worked out from your IP address. PostHog stores an identifier in your browser to tell one visit from another. We use this to improve the site. We don’t use it for advertising.
Error reports
When something on the site breaks, an error report goes to GlitchTip, an error tracker we run ourselves. It records what failed and where, so we can fix it.
eBay
If you buy from us on eBay, eBay handles the purchase, payment and delivery details under its own privacy notice. Our listing tools connect only to our own eBay seller account, to create and manage our listings and to see their status. We do not collect or store buyers’ names, addresses or contact details from eBay.
If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their marketing. The services named on this page process it only to provide what they do for us.
How long we keep it
We keep chat and email records as long as we need them to deal with your request and to keep ordinary business records. Ask us and we’ll delete them sooner.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@brandywinecoins.net. If you’d rather not use the chat, email works just as well.
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
